Summary:

Scope and General Purpose ofJob :

Underthe direction of Restaurant Manager /in-charge to assists and participates inthe running of an efficient and profitable restaurant operation.

All work willbe in line with the hotel’s business plan and in accordance with Wyndhamcorporate policies and procedures, as well as local requirements andregulations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The primaryresponsibilities of the role include:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Reportsfor duty by the scheduled time, clean and tidy and wearing the correct uniform.

  • Greetsand seats guests, and ensures that they receive prompt, courteous and efficientservice.

  • Attendsthe F&B daily briefing session

  • Gathersreservations and allocates tables making sure of proper distribution andscheduling of guests arrival.

  • Ensuresthat the reservation booked is properly kept.

  • Responsiblefor cashiering for the restaurant; opening and closing of the cashiering shift;and maintains bills in order.

  • Demonstratespride in work place and a high level of commitment.

  • Anticipatesguests’ needs whenever possible and react to these to enhance guests’satisfaction.

  • Tominimize operating costs by using all equipment and products in accordance withcompany or manufactureGuidelines.

  • Assistsin managing all activities of the restaurant.

  • Reportsall maintenance requirements and hazards in the work place.

  • Ensuresthat restaurant premises, FF&E, silver, glass, porcelain etc… are clean andin good working order.

  • Checksregularly to ensure guests receive efficient, knowledgeable and courteousservice, and high quality Products.

  • Maximizesguest satisfaction by communicating guest specifications to kitchen.

  • Preparesdaily/weekly requisitions forms for general store as well as food and beveragesupplies.

  • To fillin breakage report for utensils and crockery for chief stewards record.

  • Adheringto work in other restaurants/bar whenever required.

  • Toorganize and checks that service side stations are fully stocked at thecommencement of service; and replenishes,maintains it clean, tidy & orderly throughout service

  • Workspro-actively to minimize guest complaints

  • Informsguests and staff of applicable hotel rules and limitations within policies andguidelines.

  • Follows-upwith guests to determine satisfaction, measures the results and establishesstrategies to improve the

  • Qualityof the guests’ experience.

  • Checksthe restaurant reservations, hotel arrival lists, and VIP list and is aware ofVIP guests,anduse name when appropriate.

  • Performsall daily tasks to a consistent high standard in line with both departmentalstandards and outlet’s SOP.

SKILLS &COMPETENCIES

  • Foodhandling certificate.

  • Abilityto satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workersto their understanding.

  • Abilityto provide legible communication.

  • Abilityto compute basic mathematical calculations.

  • Certificationof previous training in food service.

  • Abilityto communicate in a second language preferably Arabic

  • Abilityto understand guests' service needs.

  • Abilityto be well organized, maintain concentration and think clearly when providingservice to guests within any given period of time.

  • Abilityto focus attention on details.

  • Abilityto access and input information into Micros system.

  • Abilityto maintain good coordination and timing while doing tasks quickly.

  • Abilityto exert physical effort in transporting food and beverage guests.

  • Abilityto endure abundant physical movements throughout the work areas.

  • Abilityto perform job functions with minimal supervision.

  • Abilityto work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.

Alongside these key competencies, the incumbent of therole will be required to demonstrate the fundamentals of the company’s Count onMe! service culture to be responsive, respectful and deliver a greatexperience.
