The Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek , a 400-room luxury resort in the Bonnet Creek Resort complex adjacent to Walt Disney World® in Lake Buena Vista, Florida is searching for a Banquet Server to join the Team. This mix-use development complements Wyndham Vacation Ownership, which is adjacent to Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort, the company's flagship timeshare facility in Orlando with a total build out of almost 1,600 vacation ownership units.

The hotel's Spanish Mediterranean architecture, designed by HHCP Architects of Maitland, Florida is reminiscent of the of the historic Flagler-era resorts of St. Augustine. The design houses a 7,000-square-foot Wyndham Blue Harmony spa and fitness center; 20,000 square feet of flexible meeting and conference space including an 8,000-square-foot main ballroom designed for groups up to 600; a full-service specialty restaurant; three-meal restaurant; pool bar and grill; lobby bar; and the Wyndham brand's new combination café, barista and food mart.

The Banquet Houseman is responsible for providing excellent dining service to guests, at all banquet events.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or related experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.

Physical requirements:

  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.

  • Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

  • Ability to stand during entire shift.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong preference for prior experience working in banquet set up is required, preferably in a high volume hotel, conference center or resort.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Must be able to abide by the company appearance standards and compliance with the designated uniform.

  • Maintain sanitation procedures and organization of work area adhering to all OSHA and local health department regulations.

  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.

  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.

Physical requirements:

  • Regularlyrequired to sit, stand, walk, bend and use hands to handle objects, tools orcontrols.

  • Mustbe able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work the majority of shift in a standingposition.

  • Frequentlyis required to talk or hear.
