Located in the heart of Napa Valley, the Silverado Resort and Spa is an Iconic Northern California Resort.
We are the home of the PGA SAFEWAY OPEN GOLF TOURNATMENT.
In 2016, we were awarded one of the top ten Resorts in Northern California by the Conde Nast Reader’s Choice Award. Built in 1999 Spa Silverado is a feature guest attraction at the resort and has approximately 62,000 visitors per year.
With a total of 16 treatment rooms and a full service salon, Spa Silverado provides garden-inspired treatments featuring local botanicals in a luxurious 16,000 square foot facility. Based on Traditional Healing Therapies, our treatments are inspired by locally grown garden herbs, citrus fruits and nourishing French Seaweeds. We embrace the healing power of the Native American Indians, assist the golf population with sports specific recovery treatments and we have been recognized by Spa Finders as a leader in popularity in Couples Romance and Girl Friend Get-a-ways packages.
The products used in treatments consist of organic oils or all natural ingredients that are beneficial for your health and wellness. Our cosmeceutical grade skincare lines are Physician indorsed and all our vendors were chosen for their sustainable business practices.
The Spa Silverado Fitness area offers state-of-the-art weight-training and cardio equipment, with personal trainers and studios for group exercise: Yoga, Pilates, TRX and other group and behavior health programs. A year-round outdoor 25-yard lap pool has a spacious poolside deck, including a co-ed whirlpool.

Spa Silverado employs exceptional associates in seasonal and year round positions to include spa front desk coordinators, spa housekeeping, spa café, spa locker room Attendants (valets) massage therapists, estheticians, nail technicians, hair stylists, personal trainers, and fitness instructors.

WHO ARE OUR CUSTOMERS?
Spa Silverado caters to resort guests, members, local residents of Napa Valley and condo owners of the Silverado Resort and Spa. Our guests are savvy spa entusiasts, active and well-traveled, from wealthy / affluent backgrounds and expect a variety of superior technical services along with outstanding customer service. Many of our guests take advantage of our pre-designed spa packages and allow an entire day to enjoy all of the facilities we have to offer.
WHAT ABOUT THE JOB?
Massage Therapists are expected to work 5 days per week if full-time, 2-3 days per week if part-time. Our therapists routinely work 6-7 hour shifts, either 8am-2pm or 2pm-8pm for example. Schedules are varied based on seasonal hours. Your weekly schedule is determined at the beginning of employment and remains in effect through the current season.
Massage Therapists are paid an hourly rate plus commissions. All treatments earn an 18% gratuity in addition to the commission for the service. Cash gratuities vary and are given for exceptional service.
WHAT ARE THE JOB REQUIREMENTS?
Massage Therapists are required to have successfully completed a 500-hour program in massage therapy (850 hours is preferred) and hold a valid California License. Previous employment in a resort setting is preferred, but not required. Massage Therapists must be able to show proficiency in the following areas: Swedish, Prenatal, Deep Tissue, and Sports massages. Willingness and desire to train on and perform all massage and body treatments offered at Spa Silverado.

BONUS: $300 Sign-on Bonus ($150 after 90 days, $150 after 6 months, must perform at least 90 massages by first payout)
Spa Silverado currently does not offer Employee Housing. The best resources for local housing are the local newspaper, Crown Realty and Craigslist.
High school education, GED, or equivalent experience.
Diploma from state approved Massage training program.
Holds current state massage license.
At least 2 years of previous experience as massage therapist or advanced massage training education preferred.
Previous customer service/hospitality/retail sales experience preferred.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of spa software.
Excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication, and time management.
Ability to work in a team environment with professional demeanor.
Ability to speak, read and write English, to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals
Basic math skills with ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Computer literate: Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point. Adaptable to learning new and customized software programs.
Warm, personable and energetic demeanor.
Projects a professional and polished image that inspires confidence and trust. Must be able to abide by the company appearance standards and compliance with the designated uniform.
Dedicated to exceeding service standards and providing services and standards to the highest caliber.

Must be able to work variable shift, weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.
