The Wyndham Rewards Senior Analyst, Data Insight is responsible for fraud prevention, fraud detection, revenue optimization, and issue response and financial integrity related to WHG’s global guest loyalty program, Wyndham Rewards. Ultimately, this role will analyze program data and technology rules to ensure appropriate financial controls impacted by technology and program processes minimize risk and ensure all program revenue and expenses are accurately recognized.

  • Gather insight through data and business rules to ensure the integrity of the Wyndham Rewards (WHG?) program. Find the places in Wyndham Rewards where fraud exists.

  • Use technical skills to gather requisite data (SQL, other coding languages)

  • Model data from incidents of suspected fraudulent activity and analyze to determine the anomaly’s root cause

  • Review ongoing changes to the Wyndham Rewards program and communicate the risk of fraud related to those changes to peers and management

  • Understand, analyze, and deconstruct existing business processes. Find efficiencies and implement them.

Scope/Financial Responsibility

Responsible for identifying the total size and scope of fraud in the Wyndham Rewards program which is, today, unknown.

Responsible to assess current program and promotions rules and provide recommendations to minimize fraud risk

Travel Requirements

1-2 trips/year within the US only to attend industry conference or visit vendors/agencies

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

College Degree (BA, BS) in a computer science-related field

Excellent communication, both written and interpersonal skills

Highly organized, detail oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks

Strong follow-up skills/ability to work independently & in a team environment

Must demonstrate a sense of urgency and have the ability to work under tight deadlines

Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data

Technical experience in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and some functional coding language
