Based on our continued growth and aim to delight our customers and guests with our signature Count on Me! service culture, we now seek a Revenue Manager to add to Wyndham Hotel Group EMEA’s dynamic revenue management team. This will be a field based role which can be undertaken from an individual’s home office, however the incumbent will be called upon to participate in 2 weeks induction training at the Company’s EMEA offices and will be required to travel to attend meetings throughout the regions as required.

The Revenue Manager will perform analysis and develop hotel strategies and tactics to optimize revenues. They will be responsible for optimising rooms’ revenue for an assigned portfolio of hotels by strategically managing pricing, inventory, and channel distribution. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in revenue management and must have proven ability to position properties successfully in markets through pricing and yield management. They will perform analysis on price positioning, competitive set performance, and strategic planning of rate products.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Historical and future demand analysis

  • Business mix analysis

  • Competitive set analysis

  • Group displacement analysis

  • Price-Value comparison

  • Potential property visit as determined necessary

Set unique revenue management strategy for each individual property. Change hotel rates and inventory restrictions, by day, to ensure the property is properly priced in the market. Including but not limited to:

  • Setting/managing rates by season, rate category and by room type

  • Maintaining channel parity

  • Monitoring competitive pricing and responding accordingly

  • Group displacement analysis

  • Manage inventory restrictions (MLOS)

Conduct regular revenue meetings, including via video, InterCall and Skype, with property leadership. Record, track and communicate the effectiveness of defined strategies and tactics making recommendations for on-going adjustments:

  • Weekly/bi-weekly (corresponding with service level contracted by each property) minutes and tracking / status reports

  • End of month reviews

Additional ad hoc analysis and/or project work as requested by WHG revenue management leadership

Abilities/Key Competencies/Skills

  • Understanding of hotel or travel industry distribution landscape and systems.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate and present metrics into actionable proposals.

  • Above average organizational skills; ability to successfully manage multiple activities in parallel, across various management levels.

  • Above average communication skills; ability to confidently and clearly interact remotely with property and brand resources; convey ideas clearly in voice and in writing.

  • Ability to analyse and present findings from quantitative data; can assimilate information and data from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.

  • Must be able to show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.

  • Must have a basic understanding of financial terms and P&L statements

  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.


  • Bachelor’s degree ideally in a Finance, Business, Statistics or Economics related discipline or equivalent experience

  • Progressive experience in a revenue management, finance, strategy, or hotel operations role

  • Demonstrated proficiency in distribution channel management, Hotel PMS / SynXis CR and revenue management systems, Microsoft Office applications, and knowledge and experience in hotel pricing concepts, yield management optimization and selling strategies.

  • Thorough understanding of total hotel revenue management concepts, processes, and systems

  • Very good understanding of segmentation, optimum business mix and displacement

  • Highly proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office programmes

  • Fluency in spoken and written English

  • Utilization of video conferencing, Skype for Business, Skype IM and Inter call for scheduled meetings

  • Previous experience of using intelligence/reporting tools to pull data and reports

  • Must be able to travel 15%. An estimated number of 2-4 trips to designated office across EMEA yearly. Additional travel as needed to portfolio sites
